Ian Jones 

I enjoy helping people and I have a passion for road safety, born from years of cycling around Hertfordshire.  This, coupled with fulfilling an ambition to be my own boss made becoming a driving instructor a compelling choice.  After researching numerous driving schools, I chose LDS because I believe Terry’s approach to driver training is industry leading.

Over the years the roads have become much busier and, as a Member of the Institute of Advanced Motorists, I feel that the standard of driving could be improved.

My goal is to help develop the next generation of considerate, confident and safe drivers so that they can experience the freedom and pleasure of driving (making the taxi of mum and dad redundant). One of the most rewarding aspects of the job is seeing the students learn and progress.  I love the feeling when they work out for themselves how to put right a fault while answering a question that I’ve just put to them.  It’s great to see those mental cogs turning and the facial expression when the Eureka! moment hits.
